WHAT TIME DOES THE FESTIVAL OPEN?
The festival gates open at 10am on Saturday, DJs start at 10am till 11pm

The bar closes at 10.30pm, food closes at 10.45pm and the music concludes at 11pm.

The official after parties at Mint Warehouse & Mint Club start immediately after the festival.

WHAT TIME DO YOU RECOMMEND GETTING HERE?
We recommend getting here before 2pm

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

No full tracksuits, no tracksuit bottoms, “walking pants” (tracksuit top worn with jeans/ shorts is expectable) no man bags, no camel packs, no bags bigger than A4 size.

CAN I BRING A BAG IN TO MiNT FESTIVAL?
No big bags or ruck sacks are allowed in to Mint festival due to safety. Small bags only. Nothing larger than an A4 size bag. No Camel Packs. Please use common sense and cooperate with all searches. Please keep your belongings with you at all times.

CAN I BRING A MAN BAG?
No man bags are allowed at Mint Festival

CAN I TOP UP ON THE DAY?
Cashless wristbands can be topped up on site using cash or card at various points around the festival. However we advise buying vouchers in advance to avoid queues.

There will be numerous spots around Mint Festival saying TOP UP STATION where you can top up with cash or card

There will be a sites across the festival with signs saying VOUCHER EXCHANGE where you can top up your wristband

ARE THERE ATM CASH MACHINES ON SITE?
There aren’t any cash machines on site however you can get cash back from the token booth.

CAN YOU BRING YOUR OWN ALCOHOL ON SITE?
You can not bring your own alcohol into Mint Festival

SHOULD I PURCHASE MY DRINKS BEFOREHAND?

DO I HAVE TO PRINT MY DRINKS VOUCHER OR CAN I JUST SHOW IT ON MY PHONE ON ARRIVAL?
You can just show it on your phone.
You will be able to purchase drinks credits and top ups throughout the day, however we strongly recommend that you do this before to avoid queuing throughout the day and make it much easier to buy drinks.

WILL I BE ABLE TO REFUNDED FOR ANY DRINKS CREDITS I DON’T USE?
You will be able to get refunded up to 10.30pm on site only. We CAN NOT refund after the day of the festival.

CAN I USE CASH AT THE BAR?
No – you can not use cash anywhere on site

DO I NEED TO BUY A SHUTTLE BUS TICKET IN ADVANCE?

We highly recommend buying your shuttle bus in advance, priority on the day will be for people who have purchased a ticket online in advance. To avoid queuing and save money on the day and night you should definitely buy a ticket in advance.

WHERE DO SHUTTLE BUSES DROP OFF IN LEEDS CITY CENTRE AFTER THE FESTIVAL?

The Shuttle bus will be dropping off back at Sovereign St. Please plan ahead if you are going to one of our after parties and make sure you know where you are going.

ON-SITE

ARE THERE CASH POINTS AT THE FESTIVAL?
There are no ATM machines on site but you can get cash back at the top up booth.

IS THERE WIFI ON SITE?
O2 are providing an Internet service

IS THE FESTIVAL INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?
The festival is outdoors but the tents are indoors.

IS THE FESTIVAL ON GRASS OR CONCRETE?
The festival is on grass.

WHAT ARE THE SET TIMES?

IS THERE A CLOAKROOM?
There will be a cloakroom.

ARE THERE CHANGING ROOMS?
There are no changing rooms.

CAN YOU SMOKE CIGARETTES INSIDE THE FESTIVAL SITE?
Yes you can smoke inside the arena, random searches will be made upon entry to ensure no prohibited items are concealed within the cigarettes. (Cigarettes will be sold within the festival site)

WHICH HOTELS ARE LOCATED NEAR THE FESTIVAL?
We recommend staying in Leeds city centre if you are attending after parties, however feel free to check out Harrogate, York, Wetherby for local hotels, check out
www.trivago.co.uk for availability.

PARKING?

There is a car park at Mint Festival and it is £10 cash. Security will be present during the event however cars left overnight are left at the owners risk and Mint Festival, Stockeld Park and management take no responsibility for any loss or damage.

LOST & FOUND?
There is a lost and found service at Mint Festival. Items are recorded and kept for 6 weeks, please email becky@themintclub.com after the event to check on your lost property.

WHERE CAN I FIND THE TOILETS?
There is a sufficient number of port-a-loos at the venue.

CAN I BUY FOOD AT THE VENUE?
Yes, we have several food stands at the venue, where we offer a great variety of healthy food considering local suppliers.

CAN I TAKE DRINKS TO THE FESTIVAL AREA?
Drinks not purchased at the event are not allowed in the whole festival area.

ARE THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS?
The access to the Mint Festival is only allowed for people who are 18 years and older.

ARE THERE SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR HANDICAPPED PEOPLE?
The venue is handicapped accessible and there is a raised platform for people who are disabled in wheelchairs. Please see the bottom of FAQ’s below for disabled access.

IS THERE POSSIBILITY TO RE-ENTER THE VENUE AFTER HAVING LEFT?
No, due to organisational reasons, re-entry is not possible.

CAN I TAKE MY CAMERA INTO THE FESTIVAL?
Only mobile phone cameras and small digital cameras for private use are allowed: video cameras are forbidden.

IS CAMPING ALLOWED AT THE VENUE?
No, due to organisational reasons, camping is not allowed at Mint Festival

WHAT IF ITS RAINING?
We will continue dancing of course… and have a sufficient number of rain capes for you!

CAN I BRING AN UMBRELLA ?
It is possible to bring a small pocket umbrella, eg. Knirps. As bigger umbrellas can be used as a weapon, those are not allowed on site.

WHEN IS LAST ENTRY?
Last entry is 8pm

IS THERE A DROP OF POINT WHERE I CAN GET DROPPED BY A TAXI AND FRIENDS?
Yes there is if you go through main entrance you will directed to drop of area – The postcode for Mint Festival is Stockeld Park, Wetherby, Leeds. LS22 4AN

How much is a taxi from Leeds train station / Coach station?
A Taxi from Leeds train station will be around £20 and will be around 15-20 minute drive.

Will i need i.d.?
We will be operating and enforcing a strict Challenge 25 policy at Mint Festival. If you can’t provide valid identification when asked, you will be asked to leave the site and come back with your ID. So if you are lucky enough to look 25 or younger, please make sure that you bring an acceptable form of identification.
Valid forms of ID include:
– An in date photographic driver’s license or provisional licence.
– A valid passport (not a photocopy). Out of date passports will NOT be accepted.
– A Proof of Age Standards Scheme Card (showing the PASS hologram).

 

AFTER PARTIES

After-Parties are at Mint Club & Mint Warehouse from 10pm till 6am

CAN I GO TO AN AFTER PARTY IF I HAVEN’T BEEN TO THE FESTIVAL?
You can’t go to the after party unless you have been to the festival. You will need a a wristband from the festival to get in the after party.

HOW DO I GET TO MINT CLUB OR MINT WAREHOUSE AFTER THE EVENT?

There will be a shuttle bus service provided by Mint Festival which will drop off at Sovereign St, Leeds.

Please plan ahead if you are going to one of our after parties and make sure you know where you are going.

DISABLED ACCESS INFORMATION

 

Access around the site:
Mint Festival takes place at Stockeld Estate. The site is a green field site with sloping areas around the event site and the event entrances. The event field is park land therefore most areas within the site will be uneven. There are no hard standing pathways once in the event site. The majority of stages will be, on average, 60 to 70 metres apart.

Bookable access facilities:
– The location of the disabled car park will be adjacent to event main entrance
– The following access facilities need to be pre-booked using the Access Requirement Form.

2 for 1 tickets for personal assistants:
We provide a 2:1 ticket scheme for individuals who would be unable to attend our events without bringing a personal assistant. Once you have brought a full price ticket, please fill in the access requirement form and provide us with documentation in order to receive your personal assistant ticket.

Accessible Parking:
An accessible car park is located on site adjacent to the event entrance.

Accessible toilets:
There will be a stewarded accessible toilet located at the welfare centre and first aid point. There will be other non-stewarded accessible toilets throughout the event arena.

Assistance Dogs:
We welcome assistance dogs onto the site with advance notice.

Strobe Lighting:
There will be general warning signs in all the performance areas where strobe lighting will be used. Due to the nature of the artists it is likely that strobe lighting will be used throughout the performances. There will not be a warning immediately before a period of strobe lighting.

Medical Services:
There are First Aid facilities within the event site. There will also be Medics and First Aiders on patrol around the event. If you require more information, please get in touch.

DISABLED ACCESS FAQ’s

I am a customer with access requirements / I am disabled, how do I buy a ticket for Mint Festival 2017?
You can buy tickets by following the links on the website. If you prefer to buy tickets over the phone you can call the ticketing agencies directly.

If Mint Festival tickets completely sell out, is there an allocation reserved for customers with access requirements and/or disabled customers?
Mint Festival does not reserve an allocation of tickets for accessible customers. Once tickets are sold out, they are sold out.

I require a Personal Assistant in order to attend the event, must I buy a ticket for my PA?
If you qualify for a PA to attend the event with you, you should buy a ticket for yourself and complete the access requirement form. You do not need to buy a ticket for the personal assistant, however if you do not qualify for a PA and tickets have sold out you will not be able to buy an additional ticket.

What disabled access facilities are available at Mint Festival?
We offer accessible car parking, personal assistant tickets and disabled toilets.

Automatic qualification applies to those able to supply the following

documentation dated within the past 12 months or with valid date covering

Front page of Attendance Allowance letter

Blue badge accompanied by driver’s license photo card and/or

Evidence of being registered as severely sight impaired (blind)

We recognise that the evidence above is not definitive. If you do not have any of the above evidence but wish to apply for particular access facilities you will need to complete the application form and provide a statement and supporting evidence. These applications will be considered on a case by case basis.
